A study to examine the effect of undenatured bioactive whey on increasing cellular glutathione levels in CFS patients was run in the clinic of Doctor Paul Cheney. The clinic conducted a six-month study of the first patented bioactive whey product (Immunocal), and discovered it significantly improved glutathione function. Though it was a small study (eight patients), the results were consistent with the feedback from Cheney's patient population as a whole. Each patient who tested positive for mycoplasma and chlamydia pneumoniae at the beginning of the study tested negative six months after treatment. Whey and Amino Acid Supplements

Whey protein is especially effective at preserving lean body mass in older adults.23 Whey protein augments the effects of resistance exercise training, especially if consumed shortly before or after exercise.24 Men who supplemented with whey in combination with resistance training showed improvements in one or more measures of muscle strength as well as lean tissue mass, compared to placebo recipients. Clinical studies indicate that older adults need greater amounts of high-quality protein than active, younger people, which means that the recommended daily protein intake may not be enough for older adults.26-29 So while the Institutes of Medicine recommends 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight (or 58 grams for an aging adult weighing 160 pounds) for all adults, several studies suggest that healthy older adults need between 1.0-1.3 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight,10-12 (or 73-94 grams for an aging adult weighing 160 pounds)."   Resistance Exercise Reduces Cognitive Decline

 When to take Whey    

The Whey must be taken on an empty stomach for immune and other benefits. I drink a large glass of water to flush my stomach before taking the whey.  I drink 25 grams of Whey power mixed with water about almost every day on an empty stomach first thing in the morning. I do this in conjunction with my HGH protocol and my Creatine protocol.
