Vegetarian, Vegan Protocol

  

Examine each animal product on its own to determine your food choices.

  

“The International Atherosclerosis Project found that vegetarians had just as much atherosclerosis as meat eaters.” Lab Invest 1968 18:498

The annual all-cause death rate of vegetarian men is slightly more than that of non-vegetarian men (.93% vs .89%); the annual death rate of vegetarian women is significantly more than that of non-vegetarian women (.86% vs. .54%).” Am J Clin Nutr 1982 36:873

Totally avoiding meat and animal products is almost never a good idea

"Researchers have found that seniors with the highest levels of two critical B vitamins are also the least likely to battle depression. The same ones I've been telling you about for years: B6 and B12, which come naturally from a diet high in meats and fish. Researchers looked at data on some 3,500 seniors in Chicago, and found that depression risk dropped by 2 percent for every 10-milligram increase in vitamin B6 and 10-microgram increase in B12. I'll tell you what's really going on here. Most people simply don't get large enough amounts of these nutrients from food to make a difference. You can change that, starting tonight, by putting liver on the menu. It's packed with B12, and is a pretty good source of B6 too. Strict vegetarians face many health problems that are difficult to solve for most people, i.e. vitamin B12 is only found in animal foods. That vitamin B12 can only be obtained from animal foods is one of the strongest arguments against veganism being a "natural" way of human eating.

    

We are Individuals

“Biochemical individuality" is a subject worth clarifying. Coined by nutritional biochemist Roger Williams, PhD, the term refers to the fact that different people require different nutrients based on their unique genetic make-up. Ethnic and racial backgrounds figure in this concept as well. A diet that works for one may not work as well for someone else. Those following a vegetarian diet often have severe health problems: obesity, candidiasis, hypothyroidism, cancer, diabetes, leaky gut syndrome, anemia and chronic fatigue. Because of the widespread rhetoric that a vegetarian diet is "always healthier" than a diet that includes meat or animal products, these people saw no reason to change their diet, even though that was the cause of their problems. What these people actually needed for optimal health was more animal foods and fats and fewer carbohydrates.   Weston Price

    

A Vegan Diet can be Beneficial Short Term

There are benefits to vegetarian diets for certain health conditions, and some people function better on less fat and protein, but most of us can use at least a fair amount of animal products. As a cleansing diet, vegetarianism can be a healthy choice. Several health problems can often be treated by a reduction in animal products. But such a diet should be short term. If you feel better with less meat do it but don’t avoid all meat and animal products to fit a “Life Style”. I eat very little red muscle meat but lots of wild salmon, fish, organ meats, butter, goat cheese and hen’s eggs.

Free-range meat, wild fish and animal products can be very healthful and are difficult to live without for most people. Eggs (See Egg Protocol) are an almost perfect food for those of us not sensitive to them. Butter (See Butter Protocol) is a good fat can be used as an energy source and on vegetables to enable the fat-soluble vitamins to be absorbed. Humanity evolved eating animal foods. Totally vegetarian or vegan societies do not seem to exist.

As always animal products are better if the animal ate his natural diet and NOT feed grains and especially NOT GMO crap.

   

Examine each animal product on its own to determine your food choices.

   

IMO do not eat to fit a "life style".
