Tendons attach muscles to bone and ligaments attach bone to bone. Your tendons and ligaments can take a lot of abuse from accidents and overuse. It pays to learn how to protect them. I have suffered pulled tendons and ligaments from time to time. It takes time and HEAT to heal tendons. Perhaps the most important factor is TIME. You must take as much stress off the injured tendon as you can while NOT immobilizing the joint. I pulled a elbow tendon in my left arm and pretty much did not use my arm for a couple of weeks and then slowly eased into its use over a couple more weeks. The soreness when applying pressure on the tendon will tell you where you are in the healing process. Compare the pain caused by gentle pressure applied to your two elbows.
