Skin Protection Protocol
“A good rule is to put NOTHING
on your skin you do not want to eat.” “In the
case of skin health, lutein, zeaxanthin, and other carotenoids appear to be
depleted in the skin under conditions of prolonged UV light exposure. Skin exposure
to UV rays generates reactive oxygen species, inflammation in skin cells, and
erythema. Intake of dietary antioxidants, including lutein and zeaxanthin,
reduces this inflammatory response, as carotenoids are poor absorbers of UV
light.” Ribaya-Mercado “Our recommendation, this is based on
work in England and Norway, and the United States, that the optimal time to be
in the sun for vitamin D production is near to solar noon as possible. That
would be between say 10:00am and 2:00pm. The reason is two-fold. First of
all, you need a shorter exposure time because the UVB is more
intense. Now, the second reason is that when the sun goes down towards the
horizon, the UVB is filtered out much more than the UVA. And it turns out that
the long wave of ultraviolet called UVA, which runs from about 320 to 400
nanometers, is highly correlated with melanoma -- where the UVB is the one that
produces the vitamin D, and that’s from 290 to 315 nanometers,” “New research shows that to get an optimal
vitamin D supplement from the sun at a minimal risk of getting cutaneous
malignant melanoma (CMM), the best time of sun exposure is noon. That means that
common health recommendations given by authorities in many countries -- that sun
exposure should be avoided for three to five hours around noon and postponed to
the afternoon -- could be wrong and
may even promote CMM.
This is in part because the action spectrum for CMM is likely to be centered at
longer wavelengths than that of vitamin D generation.”

Biology 2008; 624: 86-88 "New research from Germany and France suggests that supplements containing flaxseed or borage oil may protect skin against reddening and improve skin health from within. The omega-3 and omega-6-rich oils from flax and borage also led to a decrease in skin roughness and so-called skin scaling, according to findings published in the British Journal of Nutrition. Protocol). When these organs get overloaded trying to dispose of too many
toxins they often leave some toxins in your blood and your blood will often
dispose of these toxins thru your skin. A good rule of skin care is not to put
any cosmetic skin care products on your skin that you would not eat. Your skin

The simple primal act of getting LOTS of the high noon sun on your bare “unprotected” skin in large amounts just may be the most important single thing you can do for your health. If the sun casts a shadow longer than you are tall you cannot make adequate vitamin D from the sun. You MUST take vitamin D3 at the daily rate of about 1000 IU/20 pounds of body weight.
One time after losing twenty
