Drug therapy is often used for high blood pressure. IMO Your HBP is usually a SYMPTOM, it is almost never a disease

Your High Blood Pressure is a SYMPTOM of a problem or problems SOMEWHERE in your body, diet or lifestyle. Metabolic syndrome it self is mostly a product of sugar and or HFCS.

It's possible that your elevated blood pressure is a protective effect, enabling your heart to get your blood to all your tissues in spite of the problem(s), whatever that may be. YOUR HBP is a SYMPTOM!!! If you take drugs  to lower your HBP you do NOTHING to correct the underlying problem or problems.  These HBP drugs range from dangerous to disastrous.

As you will have noted if you read the research paragraphs above there are literally hundreds of things you can do to improve the odds of NEVER HAVING HBP PROBLEMS. It may at first seem overwhelming to imagine including all these salubrious habits, foods and supplements in your life. Just take it one simple step at a time. Start anywhere you wish, say potassium; you may intuitively know lack of fresh food is bad for your health but as you read the potassium research and view the lack of fresh food’s ties to hundreds of KNOWN health problems your resolve to eat more fresh food will be strengthened.

The web of actions required to avoid HBP is also great. The good part is in avoiding HBP you will also be avoiding MANY other health problems in large part; when you address these problems you will find much of the work you must do to avoid these problems has already been done.

   

High blood pressure is a serious risk

The problems may not be immediately apparent but long-term hypertension can lead to a number of serious problems like

 

Avoid for normal Blood Pressure

"When oxidative stress is present the angiotensionogen molecule shifts its shape and floods the system with angiotensin. This led to the discovery of a HBP "oxidative switch"."   Life Extension

"Atherosclerosis isn't the only disease the polyunsaturated oils can give you. Uric acid causes HBP

  

Required for normal Blood Pressure

The simple primal act of getting LOTS of the high noon sun on your bare “unprotected” skin in large amounts just may be the most important single thing you can do for your health. If the sun casts a shadow longer than you are tall you cannot make adequate vitamin D from the sun. You MUST take vitamin D3 at the daily rate of about 1000 IU/20 pounds of body weight.

An Approach for Dealing with YOUR HBP without drugs

IMO most HBP individuals have a lack of a vital nutrient, an excess of a toxin, too little exercise, overweight or stress. Correcting these problems will often lower your HBP, without drugs and improve you life vastly more than taking toxic drugs to lower your BP while retaining your basic problems.
