If you are still using "foods" like refined vegetable oils, margarine or shortening (or "foods" made with them such as all commercial baked goods and "snack" chips), you need to remove them from your diet. Then cruise on over to the pasta section. Don't forget the commercial cookies section. “Doctor Price’s research proved conclusively that dental decay is caused primarily by nutritional deficiencies and that those conditions that promote decay also promote disease.  Healthy native diets were diverse. Some were based on sea food, some on domestic animals some on wild game some on dairy products. Some contained almost no plant food while others contained a variety of fruits, vegetables, grains and legumes. In some mostly cooked foods were eaten in others many foods were eaten raw including animal foods. None contained any refined or devitalized foods such as white sugar and flour, canned foods, pasteurized of skimmed milk and refined and hydrogenated vegetable oils. All the diets contained animal products and all included some salt. Preservation methods included drying, salting and fermenting. Doctor Price found these diets contained almost ten times the fat soluble vitamins as our current diet. These include vitamins A, D, K and the CLA found in dairy products from milk cows fed on spring green grass. The foods which supplied these fat soluble nutrients included butterfat, marine oils, organ meats, fish and shellfish, eggs and animal tallows. Foods considered sacred included liver and other organ meats, fish liver oils, fresh eggs and CLA rich butter. The implications of Doctor Price’s research are profound. No poison in history has achieved these goals on the scale that processed food has. We don't have a natural diet. Most of us have a SAD diet - the Standard American Diet. You know - burgers, fries, pizza, beer, chips, donuts, coke, etc. These are non-foods, new to the human species in the past century. Our digestive systems were never designed to break these chemical bizzarros down. So the stuff doesn't get digested - it just sits there, rotting. Processed Foods, often food with the GOOD Removed

Processed or refined foods are raw whole food that has been processed, often has many nutrients taken out, has additives put in it and is packaged differently from the raw food. 90% of the money Americans spend on foods goes towards processed foods. This should be more like 10% - 20% IMO.

Processed foods take the ingredients out of the raw food, which will spoil if put in a box and left on a shelf for a month or two. The problem is the ingredients taken out are often the BEST part of the raw food. For instance the Omega EFAs (See Omega EFA Protocol) are taken out because they go rancid quickly. Without the omega EFAs your body must use an inferior oil to repair itself. In place of the good Omega EFAs taken out transfats, processed hydrogenated and polyunsaturated oils (See Polyunsaturated Oils Protocol) are put in the processed food. So we have removed the good fat and replaced it with an unhealthy fat.

Once they have removed the components of the processed food they must replace it with something. GMO GMO Soy and corn products are a favorite filler. Soy and corn are dirt cheap and after it has been itself processed it will last for years. Soy supplies both an inferior fat and imperfect protein. MSG (See MSG Protocol) is almost universally added to trick your taste buds into thinking this denatured cardboard you are eating tastes good. This trick works well until it destroys your brain and nerves. Other cheap man made synthetic ingredients are added; GMO Corn, sugar, white flour, chemicals and other ingredients harmful to your health.  You cannot eat cheap synthetic man made ingredients; not if you want to keep eating.

IMO this “processing” will result in disease somewhere down the road. It may take ten or twenty years but by eating this nutrient poor, additive rich, cheap non-nutritious filler added “food” you are giving your body inferior materials to work with AND you are DENYING your body materials that are ESSIENTIAL to a long healthy life; plus you are loading your body with toxins your liver and kidneys must remove.
