Flax Seed Protocol

    

Flax is one of the few ways to get your required Omega EFAs, especially the critical Omega 3 IMO AND the anti-cancer critical Vitamin B17 and Flax Lignans; you should ingest flax twice a week or more often.

Flax seed contains all the EFAs (See Omega EFA Protocol), mostly as omega 3s. Flax is a good natural source of vitamin E. Flax seed provides MANY times the phytoestrogen (See Phytoestrogen Protocol) lignans as the next food source. Lignans balance out estrogen and have a beneficial effect in today’s synthetic estrogen (See Estrogen Dominance Protection Protocol) loaded world. Flax may thus be protective against several cancers including breast cancer and prostate cancer. Ground Flax Seed is used in several natural cancer treatment protocols including the famous Doctor Johanna Budwig’s. Lignans also transport vitamin E throughout your body and increase the effectiveness of a given amount of vitamin E.

   

Flax CAN BE a great source of EPA and DHA

"Flaxseed oil contains ALA.  To be converted into omega-3's (EPA and DHA), it must go through the enzyme Delta-6 Desaturase. Linoleic acid, which is found in a lot of high fat processed foods, is also metabolized through that enzyme, and so it competes for space with ALA. Linoleic acid is converted into compounds which promote inflammation. As the above research suggests some of the omega 3 ALA may be converted by your body to the vital omega 3 EFA EPA and DHA (See DHA & EPA Protocol). It certainly helps if you eat no more than two times your omega 3s as omega 6s.

There is some controversy about this but IMO it looks to be happening in the real world.

Amygdalin, often referred to as vitamin B17, is found in usually small amounts in over 1000 foods including cherry pits  as well as apricot, peach, plum and prune pits and apple seeds. Flax also provides a good source of amygdalin. As you will see vitamin B17 is one vitamin you do not want to be without if you wish to avoid cancer.

Doctor Budwig has used flax as the centerpiece of her anti-cancer diet. The B17 containing flax may explain a good deal of her 90% success rate. Freshly ground flax almost seems like a perfect anti-cancer food. It supplies almost everything a cancer cure requires.

Man has grown flax for many thousands of years. Flax was one of the first plants man decided he had to always have available. The Greeks and Romans used flax as a food staple and it spread with the Roman Empire and was quickly picked up by peripheral countries such as Russia.

Flax is one of the few ways to get your required EFAs. The flax oil contains all of the Omega EFAs mostly as Omega 3s.
