Fibrinogen is a healthy protein that circulates in your blood and is turned into the blood clot producing fibrin when required by the action of enzymes in response to an injury. Excess fibrinogen is often produced in response to inflammation, so make sure you clean up any inflammation sources See Inflammation Protocol. Too much fibrinogen in your blood can lead to dangerous abnormal arterial clotting. Having too much fibrinogen in your blood is an independent risk factor for many diseases. As we grow older many of us will see our fibrinogen levels slowly creep up. We have to actively be aware of this and counter it with our prophylactic actions by taking many of these anti-excessive-fibrinogen foods, vitamins, minerals and supplements often. Our good friend exercise will also lower fibrinogen. Homocysteine is a Common factor in Excess Fibrinogen
