“Among modern hunter-gatherers, the percentage of total protein and fat have been found to vary from 36% to 97% with total carbohydrates varying from 3% to 64% and the people at both extremes are equally disease-free.” Doctor Jonathan V. Wright MD, Note this is a mind blowing fact first take some time to digest its implications, then stop worrying about your fat consumption. Just make sure ALL the fat you consume is GOOD fat and all your carbs are complex. “Genetically modified hydrogenated soybean oil is now present in over 60% of food items on the shelves of American supermarkets. How And When To Be Your Own Doctor After surfing around this
site for awhile you should have an idea of what foods are healthy, what foods
are REQUIRED and which "foods" should be AVOIDED. Forget fad diets or any diet
you see promoted.
YOUR diet MUST be crafted for YOU
by YOU. Your diet is nothing but a set of good eating habits
(See
Good Habits Protocol) you have found you can stick with and refine for the rest
of your life. It’s no fad. You will refine your diet step by step as you find
what works for you and what does not. ALWAYS you will proceed by discarding
less healthy choices and replacing them with healthier choices. It’s a great
feeling once you figure out there is a world of thousands of healthy satisfying
good whole mostly raw foods out there. You will see that that eating, working,
exercising, thinking and loving fit together in a happy healthy manner. The famous Note Doctor Castelli was
referring to GOOD saturated fat; there are BAD
saturated fats. Does this mean you can pig out and lay back and be healthful?
NO! What it does mean is you
can forget about counting calories, avoiding fat, eating by category and
restricting your diet in any way
other than limiting your food choices to the thousands
of good healthful mostly raw whole food items available to you. When you need something you
will get a taste for it. Your job is to convert that taste for a piece of cake
into something healthy. Some things MUST be cooked (See Cooked Foods Protocol)
but try to eat as much RAW as possible. Don’t wait to get too hungry, eat a
healthful snack (See Healthy Snack Protocol) and plan your next good meal. If
you get too hungry you just may eat some convenient junk that is always lurking
at the edge of your life. Always plan your meals and
snacks. What is healthy to eat? What do I need to eat? What do I feel like
eating? The three will meet in a healthy day’s food. There is no room for junk
food if you plan. If you are trying to lose
