Coconut Protocol

Coconuts consist of the coconut and several Coconut Components including coconut oil. All are very healthy.

    

Coconut Components and Products

  • Coconut Water:   The juice found in immature coconuts.

  • Coconut Milk:   Is made by pouring hot water over shredded coconut and pressing the mixture to extract all the moisture.

  • Coconut Cream:   Coconut Milk has some of its water driven off resulting in a thicker version of Coconut Milk.

  • Coconut Spice:   Coconut is dried and grated to produce a Spice.

  • Coconut Oil:   Raw unrefined organic, often labeled “Extra Virgin” Coconut Oil is a very healthy fat. Some non “Extra Virgin” Coconut Oils are made with dried coconuts that contain mycotoxins (See Mycotoxin Protocol) toxins.

  • Coconut Meat:   Coconut with all the internal fluid, if any, removed contains most of the coconut oil.

  

Coconuts Falsely Defamed

“The result of people following the misguided advice to replace saturated fats (like coconut oil) with polyunsaturated vegetable oils (such as soybean oil) is reflected in the statistics for heart disease today. Prior to 1920, coronary artery disease was actually a rarity. In the 1950's, rates began to rise in step with the increased consumption of hydrogenated vegetable oils (trans fat), which replaced saturated fats like butter and lard that had been the norm in previous decades.”     Doctor Joseph Mercola MD

Several decades ago “tests” that used refined oxidized Coconut Oil were used to defame Coconut Oil. Guess who ran these “tests” on spoiled material?

The origins of the American obesity epidemic can be traced to the 1970's when a reputed concerted campaign against "harmful tropical oils" by Soybean interests led to the elimination of Coconut Oil in virtually all commercial food. I remember well this propaganda; it sure got me off those “Harmful Tropical Oils”. So now in our baked goods instead of the very healthful Coconut Oil we have the toxic Transfat, and soybean products. What is wrong here?
