Our brains are under constant assault, not just from tv (See television Protocol) and we need to think about protecting them. About 80% of Strokes are caused by blood clots and we know how to minimize this clotting potential. Your brain uses about 20% of the oxygen taken in by your lungs so maximizing our oxygen intake thru exercise is a must IMO. As doctor Mark Hyman says our blood brain barrier does not wall off our brain from our body. Any assault we impose on our body may very well end up assaulting our brains also. Doctor Hyman tells us to look into our bodies for solutions to our brain problems. We should offer our brain antioxidants which are able to pass our Blood Brain Barrier (See Blood Brain Barrier Protection Protocol). Professor John McGrath and
his colleagues at the
Doctor Terry Wahls who cured herself of MS reminds us of the importance of our mitochondia for brain health. She comments on how the diseases which result in brain shrinkage, Huntington's, Alzheimer's and Parkinson's may all be the effects of malnourished mitochondia. The mitochondia requires an ample supply of B vitamins, sulfur and antioxidants. Vinpocetine (See Vinpocetine Protocol) derived from periwinkle plant can dilate blood vessels, enhance circulation, improve oxygen utilization, make red blood cells more pliable, and inhibit aggregation of platelets. Vinpocetine easily crosses the blood-brain barrier and thus will do all this within your brain.
